He seeks to capture not only the essence and the inherent beauty of his subjects, but also to show them in a manner that allows the viewer to see them in a fresh or unique way. He has photographed many parts of the country with a concentration in the Great Lakes area and specialization in the flora and fauna of remnant tall grass prairies in Illinois. He has been published in national and regional magazines, calendars, advertising, brochures and greeting cards.
